I know Marilyn isn’t the kind of person we are supposed to be remembering today, but hers was one grave I saw over the weekend when my parents were visiting. In the same cemetery (nestled among parking garages in Westwood) we also saw Don Knotts and Merv Griffin’s final resting places.
(Apologies for the crappy photo quality. I took it with my phone, in low light conditions, and with my mom hurrying me so as not to get a parking ticket.)
Saturday night we visited Hollywood Forever for a picnic & a movie, hosted by Cinespia. If you live in LA, I highly recommend these “cemetery screenings.” It’s fun & the quality of the projection is terrific!
The Roman evening either keeps still or it sings. No one can behold it without growing dizzy, and time has filled it with eternity. - Borges

Naples is the flower of paradise. The last adventure of my life.—Alexandre Dumas
Soon, soon, I shall be there! Just me & DS. And a group of American high school students.
