What is really depressing is that very few people with PhDs in, say, humanities or social sciences make $1555/week. (I sure as hell don’t, DS doesn’t. Department chairs might.) Yes, the general picture stays the same if you create two tiers of folks with doctoral degrees, but this picture is somewhat misleading.
Plus, what about those under-employed people—folks with college or advanced degrees doing retail work.
