Wow. Evidently I touched a nerve with my post about the Yellow Pages. I got a rather huffy email from someone calling me a “silly girl” for disparaging the usefulness of this resource.
I stand corrected. Evidently ADVERTISERS really do care about the Yellow Pages.
Interesting: advertisers rely on the Yellow Pages. Producers of the Yellow Pages rely on advertisers. Nice ouroboros thing y’all got going on there.
Sorry, but ever since this amazing thing called The Intertoobs came about, the Yellow Pages has seemed like a big brick of annoyance and environmental irresponsibility. It bugs me that this 3-pound lump of paper arrives unsolicited on my doorstep year after year.
