So I’ve been traveling a bit over the past couple of weeks. First it was luv in the great outdoors with DS in the Grand Canyon. Then it was all work, no play at an archaeology conference in the Midwest.
Being mostly out of touch, or at least not being able to obsessively click ‘refresh’ on various websites has caused me to rethink some things. Having declared ‘Tumblr Dashboard Bankruptcy’ after the GC trip, I realized that although I love me some Tumblr, I can’t keep up with it in the way I have in the past.
Especially now that I have only two months before my fantastic, perfect job ends, I need to reset some priorities. Yes, Tumblr followers, I have to put my professional life before my Intertoob Funtime.
So what does this shift in priorities entail? For one, I have to unfollow lots of you. Second, I’ll be posting a lot less frequently (this is a NO DOI moment for those of you who have noticed no new posts for over a week here).
It’s going to hurt a lot to unfollow many of you. Just remember: your self-worth is not the product of an algebraic formula of followers, reblogs, and ‘likes.’
If you miss me, you can follow me on Twitter or read my other Tumblr. Bear in mind, both of those are hosted by the real me, not the saucy, foul-mouthed, nekkidness-loving Pica you have come to love. And since both those accounts are under my real name, you’ll have to email me for the links as I won’t post them publicly here: picablog -at- gmail.com
